      You just cant find a digitizer without paying alot more

      I just would like to point out that, there are a lot of Dell Venue 8 (3840) tablets floating on eBay fairly cheap. That is because it is a "getting older" technology and, the digitizers are NOT at all impact resistant in any way. They will crack very easily. unlike some tablets, once the digitizer cracks on these, everything on the outward side from the middle of the display (whether to the top or the bottom of the tablet's display) will become unresponsive to touch. If you manage to crack the digitizer on the right side near the middle - you will likely loose all touch response as, that is where the control ribbon attaches to the digitizer. Dell thought they'd try something different with these tablets: They decided to glue the digitizers right to the LED display. (There is no heating the ...
