      caltrimmer knocked it out of the park. not only was the right shifter brake lever 8 speed just as described, it was also packed better than baby moses floating down the nile. as pictured, the gear indicator is illegibly weathered and discolored. fortunately, that part of the device is removable. behind those 2 screws you'll find a mostly flat, clean surface save for the plastic receiver fitting for the pin coming out of the removable indicator. really just a slam dunk of an ebay transaction.
