    Great historical movie

    No doubt this is a great movie, with so many characters involved. Because this is a history with real events, you would probably get lost if you are unaware of its background. It would have been better to present some introductions beforehand, such as why this is happening. Separated by a river, why would the Japanese attack and bomb one side only, while both sides belong to China? The movie is 2-1/2 hours long and can get bored if you are lost in the midst of it, especially one event led to another. Other than that, it is a well designed movie with so many characters whom I cannot even remember. For someone not knowing too much about the background of this movie, you may have to repeat the viewing a few times, which made this movie can reach 10 hours long.
