The unit is VERY quiet with these drives which are filled with HELIUM instead of AIR. A bit of instruction: All 4 DIP switches UP (PM mode) then power up holding SET switch until you hear a BEEP. Power off/on. Use Disk Manager to partition and format each drive and assign sequential drive letters. Power off. Set DIP switches to desired RAID mode, then use Disk Mgr to format the RAID array. Power off/on & reboot PC.
