I always read reviews of products. Bottom line, make your own decision
I bought this same jet pump 11 years ago. Knowing that the shelve life of these pumps is about 8 to 10 years. I wanted to buy a back up before my current pump died. This gives me a chance to shop around and get the best price. Which I spent about a month shopping and finally pulled the trigger. I now have a brand new pump sitting on the shelf. Forget the 3 year warranty, these pumps don't break down that quick. I've tested this pump buy hooking it up where my old pump is. Everything worked just fine. Put the old pump back on and I'm good to go. The more expensive pumps are said to last 15 to 18 years, and so I bought one before the one I am using now. ( That cost 3 times what I paid for this one.) It lasted about 9 years. And of course broke down during freezing weather making it difficult to replace and even harder to find locally in stock at Home Depot.
