Good for short power interruptions.
A good value at the price I paid, but not if you buy it from the normal retailer. Don't expect to run a heater or major appliance with it. It will run a small fan, room light (LED bulb is best), and a small TV for news or weather reports. My primary use will be to run my ham radio in emergency situations and to keep the cell phones going. I already have two batteries from the same brand of lawn equipment as a power source. I bought this 300W Inverter because I already had Greenworks 60v batteries that I use for my lawn mower, weed wacker, leaf blower and snow blower. It's a good thing to have on hand for power outages to run a small fan, or a TV, lamp, etc. and you can charge your phones with the USB outlets it has! The inverter doesnt well with small motors
Because the inverted power is not a smooth curve (wave), but rather a boxed looking (wave), if u plug objects like a fan. I tried 4 different small fans, and the motors started turning slower than normal, hum, and smell burnt. I figure its the way it inverts the power.
