    Epic Movie Series !!!

    I have not had a chance to watch in UHD yet, but I have seen the theatrical and extended release versions on standard definition and really liked them. I have heard this format is great so I am eager to watch when I get the chance. Incidentally, the quality of the case is quite poor as the movies just fall off the hub spindles. Not a big deal though as I just need to modify the spindles slightly and that should hold them in place.

    Needs better packaging!!

    First of all, the movies are brilliant. Best fantasy production of all time no doubt about that. However, when I opened the box set…it was a different story! The plastic case was cracked in the corner and the discs inside the package were not secured. Half of the 4K discs had dislodged from the clips that hold them in place because those clips were broken! What poor and cheap design! Only reason I didn’t complain was because I already own nicer bluray cases of the same movies!! I replaced my bluray copies with 4K versions and threw out the broken case. Disappointed to say the least. Especially for a 4K release!!

    The best version of a great trilogy

    If you are buying this then you are a fan of the films and know what you’re getting. Are these the best versions of the films? Absolutely in every regard. The audio track is reference quality and the details visually are top notch. Some serious videophiles will say the digital noise reduction ruins the film aspect. I knew what to look for yet in the context of watching straight through I didn’t see them. The colors were fixed to be closer to the theater release. Overall a great choice just don’t overpay for them

    The Lord of the Rings 4k movie collection

    The picture quality with 4k and HDR is awesome. However, the Dolby Atmos sound steals the show. Great packet!

    Worth the Buy

    I remembered buying the Blu-ray copy a few years ago so proud of getting a higher definition at the time, only to be saddened by how saturated and unfocused the picture, color and accuracy was. So when i heard about the 4K copy I hesitated waiting for reviews to come out before being another sucker. I was impressed on the reviews, took the plunge and bought the 4K copy. Was not disappointed, was really not disappointed, the vividness, the color, the SOUND, felt like I was truly in middle earth again. I couldn't help but smile every time I saw a breath taking scenery or scene..Now to wait for the 8K version lol
