    Though I have not put these hard drives into service, they are installed and running happily. They are quiet and perfect in appearance. These were advertised as new and were such. This was a great value. When I started buying hard drives, I paid $530 for a 50MB drive. This purchase was unimaginable in that era. The price of hard drives today and the capacities of those drives is perfect for modern use.

    The 16TB hard drive arrived very well protected and shipped very quickly. I had some issues with transfer speed, it turned out to be the micro sd card adapter that was causing the slow transfers.     Make sure to buy drive w/ 5 YR Seagate Warranty.

    Too new to tell if they will last long & if reliable. Havent bought Seagate drives for over a decade because of reliability issues. Taking a chance on this drive + price was acceptable w/ Ebay Bucks 10% promo.. NOTE: Buy and make sure you get Seagate 5 Years Warranty. I bought 2 from memoryonly and 1 of them was out of warranty when I check with Seagate.

    Would buy again. Wish the 18 TB version was not priced so high right now. Size matters.

    When it receives pieces of data, like from a file being written from a Wi-Fi source, it gives a grunt every few seconds. When writing a continuous file, the grunt is more-muffled, probably because it is a continuous grunt and you tend to ignore it. It is one on my noisiest drives but it's not a squeal or rattle, which would be very bad. All in all, better than most of my Western Digital drives. I would buy Seagate again but consider a remote location for this drive, if possible. I still like the 3 TB Seagates if you have enough slots for these small drives. They are inexpensive, quiet, and fast. The 4 TB and 6 TB Seagates run hot and the 8 TB Seagate is slow. The 12 TB IronWolf series is very nice and is another sweet spot in the Seagate lineup.

    Great Drive, Low Price

    I bought this drive in December 2022 and it is still running strong as of 11/2/2023. It seems to be performing quite well. The drive can be loud at times when under heavy load. 10/10 would buy again. I will update the review when the drive dies(if I am able to update reviews.).
