    Small and compact

    Since I set the product up I'am constantly haveing to alter the gain and threshhold. The product is connected from tv headphones into limiter and out into a seperate sound system with it's own volume control. This means I have TV volume / the limiter gain volume and the threshold volume and the seperate volume control on the sound system this is making things difficult to set up. During film playback the threshhold does work but it's completely turned down, I have to alter the volume on TV or seperate sound system. When I finally master the volume controls the limiter will be a great product. If anyone can help I would be greatfull.

    Great shielding, Limiter only, no recovery time leaving thumpy sound.

    The reason I purchased it was to give an overall level output to my communications repeater output so that everyone's voice is the same level. The Terk product I had before did very well, but it was not shielded, and AC hum was present. This product was well shielded, having a metal case all around. No AC hum introduced. I even grounded the case so that it was even quieter. The problem was that it needs a much higher level input to even start limiting. Additionally it seems to only be a peak eliminator. There is no recovery time, it's instant, a matter of only a few milliseconds. This made the sound "thumpy". I needed a unit that lowers the over all audio level when it's loud, and keeps it there between words and syllables, then goes to maximum volume when someone has low audio. I wish ...

    Sound limiting Unit

    This does exactly what it says. It reduces the sound level of commercials that would normally be blasting your ear drums. You do need to adjust the unit to suit your needs. Once it is set you simply leave it and the unit will take care the volume level. While I am very happy with this unit, I would like to see an even better unit available. I does pop when the sound level is too high. I also found that one of the variable resistors was not tight. I took the unit apart and crimped the metal tabs a little to fix this problem. When I first got the unit only one channel would work. After this minor fix the unit is working normally, both channels now working.

    Simple device to tame irradic audio levels.

    This is not a sophisticated tool for audio production. Its a simple device that can tame irradic audio levels into smooth unjarring listening. Great for late night TV with crazy commercials or documenteries with overly load soundtracks.
