Great looking cd shelf
This is a very good looking bookcase that's perfect for cd's and dvd's and is pretty easy to put together. Assembly was quick, but nailing the back into place could have been a little easier. I bought two of these and filled one with cd's and the other with dvd's and they look fantastic next to each other. However, when a shelf is filled with cd's it bows or sags a bit in the middle. Very lightweight and narrow
The item looks much bigger in the picture than what you actually receive. It's not as tall as I thought it would be and the shelves are very narrow. If you use all six shelves be prepared to be limited on what can be placed on the top shelf. They do give you allot of spacing options. The unit is made from cheap lightweight material than while assembling I thought may break. If you're looking for something not too expensive to display small items this could work for you. After we bought one there was not another one to be found locally. EBAY to the rescue. We bought 4 more (not all at once). DVDs and Blu-Rays fit perfect. Now Four of these cabinets hold our "Adult Movies" and 2 hold "Childrens Movies". Great for the price
This is an inexpensive piece of furniture. It's not perfect and not particularly sturdy. But it's just what I needed at a reasonable price. Easy to put together except that I didn't lay out the fairly thin laminated cardboard back correctly. Fortunately it's in the back. Looks nice even up relatively close. Great for lightweight things. This is a much nicer piece of furniture and storage space for CDs and DVDs than all the wire storage that"s out there. This goes well with my bookcases and dining table and chairs -- a great match. Pack it to fit more
I fit more cds then it says. With laying a row of two across the top of each standing row of cds I was able to fit around 12 more cds on most shelves, some only took 1 row of 6 on top. Packed Mine holds 605 cds. Since i don't listen to them that often any more I packed as many as would fit in every crevice but if they are something you use constantly you might want to back that off a bit to make it easier to take one out. but still 500 or more.
