I never wear a watch. Suddenly poking around on Ebay, the Citizen eco watches appeared and I was hooked. After researching the myriad of styles and colors, the Blue Angels AT8020-54L appeared as a choice. I researched it carefully because if I purchased a watch, I would want one that had a sapphire crystal, did not require a battery replacement, was set automatically by WWV (Atomic clock) and had a "coolness" factor. This watch has everything and more! That evening after purchase, I set it to the proper time zone after removing it from the box. I set it in the living room and the next morning WWV had done it's thing and the correct time was automatically - Magic! The watch is large, heavy in the stainless steel version and makes one feel like you're wearing something substantial and of high quality. Happy with the look and most functions of the watch. Rechargeable battery/capacitor seems to be weak. It came in a "need to charge" state (second hand moving in 2 sec increments) so I charged in the daylight for a few hours. Indicator showed full charge so I began setting time/date/etc and after about 20 seconds went back to the 'need to charge' state and froze the time/date setting effort. I think the rechargeable battery is defective so I was able to find the part number and order. Hopefully it will be the right type and will be the fix. The watch itself it kind of complicated to set and setting gets terminated when low battery sensed. Eventually I got time and date set. No radio reception where I'm at for that feature to work. I tried using chronograph with full charge and it stops after 20 seconds due to charge falling off quickly to below 1/2 charge.Read full review

It is a sharp looking watch with the nice blue dial face and bezel with yellow accents. I replaced the stainless steel wristband with a navy blue Nato-style nylon wristband and am really happy with its appearance and greater adjustability. I bought this for the slide rule function; however, the numbers are difficult read. I do like that I don't ever have to adjust the time or date and never have to buy a replacement battery. I suspect that this watch will last a lifetime.

First of all, visually the watch is flawless. No detectable hairline scratches as noted in the description. The watch design is beautiful. Although loaded with functions, the detailing in the face is intriguing, not busy. The finish is quality - period. Highly recommend.
