Seller charged 20 percent, over 10$ shipping and it was not even priority. Then gave me a 5 paragraph statement on how ‘others’ charge extra to recoup eBay fees. Then indicated she had 27 yrs selling and went on and on and on how eBay charges for shipping. There was no reasoning with seller. They wanted extra money from sale so they charge 2$ package fee ; it ended up as I stated being 20 percent of item cost although seller said it was 10 percent. seller would not ship for less I requested

I tried to explain the eBay DOES charge sellers 10% of whatever we charge for shipping but she refused to accept it. We did not “overcharge” her for shipping. We do charge a $2 packaging fee to cover part of the T&M it takes to ship an item and that normally doesn’t even cover it. So add 10% to the shipping that eBay charges and yes, it is a little more than exact shipping. I even offered a full refund but she refused.

Item was promptly shipped, however the Seller did not examine the pearls prior to listing them, and as a result failed to notice that a few of the pearls had some of the color scraped off. Seller communicated very well about the issue, and offered to allow me to ship them back. Since the color damage can be obscured, I've decided to keep them, but I'm not pleased that they will have a lower re-sell value should I decide to sell them in the future.
