  • Escape into democracy

This book gives details on Viktor Belenko's defection to the west. He is the most famous of pilots defecting to the west because he flew in a Mig 25. It was a prize back then when Mig's were the best that the Soviets had. I had bought other John Barron books in the past and I liked them all. I selected Barron for Cold War books because he had a specialty in Soviet Studies in his degree. The first book that I read from Barron is KGB Today: The Hidden Hand which I first heard in the mid 80's
