Product Information

In addition to the requisite visual improvements that go hand-in-hand with a PS2 update of a PlayStation title, this third installment of the 3D Street Fighter EX series adds a tag feature similar to Tekken Tag Tournament that allows for two-on-two battles. Also new is a character edit mode that lets you train the character Ace from a weakling with no special moves into a fighting powerhouse. Familiar SF2 characters like Ryu, Guile and Chun Li are on hand, as are EX regulars such as Skullomania and Doctrine Dark.

    (Street Fighter EX3) A game that's better then people give it credit for.

    I love the EX series. Especially EX2 being my favorite. This game sadly gave the series a bad name. Not for no good reason either. The game was rushed for a ps2 launch title window. It kinda feels like it too. Nothing major, but it's just the 'vibe' of the game that gives it this feeling. The graphics leave a lot to be desired. They really don't look all that great, the background are nice. The art portraits are amazing, I love Diago Ikeno's art. The models themselves are rough though. Plus the alt colors are pretty ugly for some of the characters. Gameplay is a tag 2v2 fighter. I like it, and it adds to the game uniqueness. The arcade mode and how it's done is fun, tagging in and out is fun to do. Makes it so they're are a lot of combinations and combos to make up. They're are other ...

    Not that great of a game.

    I purchased Street Fighter EX 3 for the Playstation 2 and needless to say, this should have been a Playstation 1 title. The fun level quickly drops after the first time around with ANY of the fighters that are selectable from the start, everytime you choose a stage or anything, there's this ANNOYING sound that the game makes that just drives me crazy and the developers at Capcom and Akira shouldn't have placed this very ANNOYING sound in the game. I remember the first Street Fighter EX title being more fun than this one. I saw this game at a Gamestop store a while back and it was about, give or take, $13 and after playiing this game, in my opinion, it's not even worth $0.99.     EX3 is an underrated, overlooked street fighter title.

    this is the best of the street fighter EX series. Game is a early taste of what you'd get from 3D style street fighter gameplay long before street fighter 4 existed. Its not quite as good as that or the 2D fighters from its era when it came out but its still a pretty solid fighting game.
