    Great binocular with clear picture and high magnification

    It's one of the best binoculars I held in my hands. Much better than cheap chinese brands. Way much better. With this binocular I can see clearly the faces of people. And buildings details. One picture only with the both eyes.

    Nikon Action Extreme (16x50) Binocular

    Perhaps the most widespread complaint voiced about binoculars centers around clarity of image. This complaint is particularly prevelent when magnification gets up in the 16X range. Nikon has always lead the way in the manufacture of glass that removes and improves upon the annoying imperfections that make you dislike what you see. Because of their quality, coatings and large 50mm objective lens, these Action Extreem 16 X 50 produce a crsip, very bright image. The greater light-gathering ability of the 50mm lens allows better vision at twilight, dawn and on cloudy days. This is my 5th pair of Nikon binoculars. I started at the normal 8X magnification. The clarity and brightness of images produced by Nikon persuaded me to continue up the scale to the 16 X 50 model. I have never been ...

    Better than I had hoped for~!

    Finest binocs I have ever used. Positively NO drawbacks. Some reviewers have said you can't hand hold a 12 or 16X power binoc. WRONG. I find these no different than using a 10X . I have the Nikon 10x50 binocs. The difference is amazing. The 16's are three dimensional compared to the 10's two D. Depth, clarity, color, everything is better.

    Serves a Dedicated Purpose

    We use these for locating marine buoys and other aids to navigation on the water. They are not for extended viewing as the high power makes the field of view a little shaky. The centre focus is perfect for near and far viewing. Not like binoculars with separate eyepiece adjustment which are hopeless if you are swapping binoculars between people. We find them perfect for our needs, maybe not so for everyone.
