My husband has been pestering me for months to get a new machine. I can hardly see to thread the needle anymore and to be honest I just didn't think I would use it that often until I came across this little sweetie. It has all the features that I need and several that I don't think I'll ever need. The button holer is a a sweet and easy set up, the automatic threader is a godsend. First machine I have ever had that the settings were correct from the factory. I haven't made anything, but I did fill a bobbin and thread the machine (this is my basic test after almost 40 years of sewing). Then I took a piece of sample fabric and made a button hole, some decorate stitches and a gathering stitch. I changed the needle and changed it back again to make certain I could. Reverse is in an easy location and the stitch display is easy to read and understand. All in all I'm pretty happy. It is pretty easy to use. For the money, this is awesome. PS I had purchased a Singer for twice the money 2 weeks ago at the local discount store and took it back in less than 24 hours because it did everything wrong.Read full review
I bought the sewing machine because the one that I have is very old and the tension wire got caught in some mesh that I was sewing and got stretched out and didn't work well. Everything on this machine is enclosed and no risk of damaging fragile parts. I am very pleased with the machine. It is quiet, smooth and very easy to use. The different stitches are easy to set and use, I didn't have to read the manual to use it. I have not tried the button holer yet. The threading mechanism is ok, but everything has to be lined up just right or it won't work. For now it is easier to do it myself. The piece that was broken off of the bobbin winding unit is not necessary, and gave me great savings. I would recomend this machine for any basic sewing.
i got this machine for my granddaughters for Christmas. They are 9 and 10 years old and I wanted something they could "grow into". I "played" with it a bit, as I will be the one teaching them, and I have to say this is a great machine. The drop in bobbin is so simple for anyone and the needle threader actually works!! Runs like a top and is easy to select the various stitches IF you read the manual. Quality of the stitches is great no matter what stitch you select. It is lightweight so for those who want something that is portable they will like that, yet stays put when stitching. I was so surprised that the table was included as that is a big savings of close to $100.00 and is good to use when teaching the girls. I have a high end machine and wish it had the needle threader on it that this one does. I think if I were to replace mine, I would think about getting one of these.Read full review
I love this machine! It was so easy to set up and use right from the beginning. My 40+ year old machine was very basic so I really enjoy the needle threader, drop-in bobin and free-arm style. I do a lot of mending so really enjoy this feature. In my initial practice, I got a thread jam so had to figure out how to take everything apart to get at it...how simple! So cleaning now will be a breeze! For the type of sewing I do, I feel this was a great buy!
Best sewing machine I have ever had. Covers all bases for sewing. Straight stitching to quilting. It does it all with ease. I am 71 and have trouble threading machines. This Brothers does it for you. All you have to do is hold the thread. Thank you brothers for bringing a way I can sew again with ease. I love the platform that comes with it and the break away arm makes it easy to sew cuffs and hem sleeves. Thanks again. I will recommend this machine to everyone. I can just imagine what the other Brothers can do for a seamstress. I'll bet the embroidering machine is awesome. Thank you so much again.
