    PC Graphics Card in 2012 Mac Pro

    I bought this GTX 970 4-GB card to replace a modified or flashed GTX770 2-GB graphics card that had started to not work right. The new card is unmodified and works great under both the Mac OS and Windows. The one thing that you kinda sorta lose is the Apple start-up screen (it comes on after loading the Nvidia driver) but I could care less about that. I love the card and it proved to me that the Apple start-up screen is not worth the $150-200 it costs to get the PC graphics cards modified.

    I believe it will be a perfect card for at least 3 more years

    despite 3.5 + 0.5 GB VRAM this card blows a majority of games today out of the water at max performance. This card will continue to push out 1080p60fps for most games at high-max graphics settings for at least a couple years I imagine. Perfect for people like me who aim for the best 1080p gaming.

    Ideal Card for entry level video editing build

    This card performs matches the task I purchased it to perform, rendering 1080p video. It certainly is not cutting edge technology, but for $100 it was a reasonable price for building a budget priced video editing workstation.
