Fun to have on your layout.
This is a fun addition to your layout. But it does have its limitations. Only one axle on each truck is driven. This limits pulling power a bit. Because the motor is in the turret, it will turn if you run it too fast. It is also noisy at faster speeds. This is probably because of the number of gears used in the drive-train. They did not use slip rings to bring power to the motor, so they tell you not to turn the turret more then 90 degrease in either direction. You will want to check out the stringing directions for the hoist and boom, and decide if this is something you want to do. If not, consider paying a bit more and getting the version that is already strung. I needed to use a tweezers to get some of it strung. If I get another one, I am getting it pre-strung. The listing says it is DCC compatible. What that really means is that the motor is insulated from the frame, and you can get at the power wires and motor terminals to wire in a decoder. It is NOT a plug and play installation.

Good little crane, easy to build, looks great
Older design that lacks a ton of detail but a great base to build off of, and can't argue for the price. Add some hand rails, exhaust, toolbox, etc and it looks great. I put the body on some tractor treads to make a crawler crane. Add some weathering and it looks great.
