G2 Interactive's enhanced version of the 1998 MicroProse flight combat sim Falcon 4.0 includes a number of new features and improvements designed to make use of new gaming technology developed over the years. Graphics take advantage of the power of contemporary video cards, offering higher resolutions, and the physics model and flight dynamics of all aircraft have been reevaluated and upgraded. Operation Infinite Resolve also features new missions and scenarios, and a new flyable aircraft, the A10 Warthog.

    Still the best Flight sim

    The OG Falcon 4.0 on PC. This has always been one of my Fav flight sims. The graphics where good for the day and still hold up for me to this day. The game play is fun and challenging. In this game there is a bug if you set the time to over 8x the enemy team will over run you as your team will not advance. Also the big box version of the game is the way to go. This game will run on Windows 11 but you will not have any in game videos playing and there was a problem with guide weapons. If used in game the game would crash. I do not know if the newest graphic cards work with it now but older one had this issue. I like this one better than Falcon 4 allied forces but that one does run better on my PC's.

    Understand What You're Buying

    First, if you think you like flight simulators, make sure you mean flight SIMULATORS. Not arcade-style flight games. Second, understand that this game does not baby you -- you will (unless you perhaps happen to have extensive experience with the F-16) have to devour at least a significant portion of the training guides and material available -- either in the pdf, online, or otherwise. Third, if you're not an avid flight sim enthusiast ... be prepared to get a HOTAS setup -- and a pretty good one at that. Finally, make sure you heavily utilize the available online community resources -- that's the support you'll be leaning on, not the support of Lead Pursuit or Graphsim Entertainment (the current folks for Falcon 4.0 Allied Force).     The Definitive Flight Sim

    First let me say that anyone looking to jump into a flight sim and buzz around blasting targets will probably not like this game. Falcon 4.0 is a simulation in every sense of the word. You'll get the most out of this game by first having the right equipment. That means a decent computer with and equally decent graphics card. A joy stick is a must and rudder pedals are a huge plus but not entirely neccessary. I'd also recommend spending some time pouring over the instuction manual. When you fire up the game go through the tutorials - maybe even more than once. Unless you are an actuall pilot you'll probably notice that the learning curve is steep. It will take plenty of practice to fly a mission and make it back to base safely. But the rewards are incredible if you have the patience. Good ...

    It is good to keep on revising and improving.

    Graphic and Airports could be improved.. Should constantly improve the product, If it reached to certain level, it will beat any simulator. It will be probably then adopted by all air forces to be part of training. There should also be emphasis including features and even adding more, for people people who just like to fly F-16 and have little interest in fighting and combat situation.

    A true gem of a combat flight sim.

    If you are looking for a truly authentic combat flight simulator that you can spend hours diving deep into and studying, enjoying going down rabbit hole after rabbit hole.. Then this is it. For all it is worth even 20 years on from it’s initial release Falcon 4.0 doesn’t disappoint.
