I have had a rotatory type tool made by Craftsman for about 20 years. It has finally started having several problems so I bought this to replace it. I don't use one on a daily basis. So I would call this a hobbyist review. Also this is not what you would call a long term review. The price was about $10 dollars under what I could find it for in the stores around me. I have used it a couple of times and it has plenty of power to do what I need it to do. Satisfied at this point with my purchase.. .

It works OK but is too large for really close work. The reason I bought it was my old Dremel 395 had some issues with the speed control. I'm going to keep the new one but I was able to fix my old Model 395 for the tighter spots. Buy the refurbished model and save some cash. The one sent to me was like new.

Haven't extensively used my Dremel but unit has a stiffer spindle than other brands. I have a few projects that will put the unit to the test soon.

Such a great value! It has all the "bells and whistles". I am a HUGE fan of "refurbished".Factory fresh, with warrenty. If you are on a budget, refurb is the way to go. Spent an intire day putting it thru it's paces. Passed with flying colors! Oh, it showed up 2 days early. Awesome! Projects beware, there is a Dremel in the house!

Very smooth and quiet for the power it puts out. I really like the e-z lock accessories with the tool. Highly recommend.
