  • Drinking deep from the Orthodox Well

I decided to buy this book because it came highly recomended and I agree with the recommendation. This book is indispensible for an understanding of Christian Theology. Fr. Meyendorff lays the foundation with an overview of theological history and then goes over the same territory by topic as opposed to chronological. This approach I found helpful since the material that he repeats is appropriately emphasised and the overall point is brought home. Simply a must for the library. Not a book though for the faint of heart, and a times can be challenging but well worth the effort.

  • Important book

Although I have not read the book completly it is well written and covers a little known ( for most of us in the Western church) area of Christian theology by a leading Eastern theologian. I would recomend this book to anyone wanting a first hand understanding of the Orthodox faith.
