1 year battery - cannot be replaced. Very quiet beeper. I have not tried the extended network. However, the software is quite good and works very well within the limited bluetooth range. The ability to find your phone, keys, or both (using another computer) is great. I purchased this item as a gift to someone who often loses her keys. I have not tried any similar products but I suspect others do the same thing - just without the great software.

There are cheaper bluetooth trackers but none are even close to being as well deigned and built. If you want to keep track of luggage, tablets, notebooks, keys or anything else especially when travelling, get these.
