The workouts themselves are diverse, but pretty standard for a general sports strength-building program, and there are no specific exercises for jujitsu or grappling. The Gracie Stretch routine is outstanding, and is a great full-body stretch routine, the majority of which can be done solo, which is great. Some of the iso exercises are also pretty good, but the free weights, plyometrics and power series (more plyometrics using stretch-cords and a partner) are pretty standard sports-prep that probably can be found in other texts. In short, the exercises are pretty standard, with the exception of the GSR (Gracie Stretch Routine), which is outstanding, and some of the iso-stuff (one-handed dumbbell movements), which is pretty good. I like this book because it is the only reputable fitness book for martial artists. Also, Royce Gracie demonstrates all the stretches and exercises, showing how great shape he is in. The book also shares diet information, mental preparation and fear control. This book is not only a collector's item, because of Royce Gracie, but also a great book on fitness, nutrition and psychological training geared for martial artists.
