It was less than half the price of a new print head from HP. I wish the ink jets had been cleaned, but not really a problem since a syringe and alcohol easily took care of that. The print head worked great once I put the head in my 8600 and loaded the ink cartridges (which by the way were not HP). The only problem I had was one of the small wires in the head where a cartridge was inserted was bent so that the printer indicated a defective or missing cartridge - I don't know whether I bent it or it was slightly bent when I got it, and I made it worse. A small pair of needle-nose pliers easily fixed that. All in all, the printer now works very well and I would buy a used print head again.

I took a chance on this product and it was a mistake as usual these print heads they sell on eBay are usually there because there's a printhead error. And I found out the hard way. Sometimes you take a Gamble and win and sometimes you lose.

Although the printhead did come earlier than promised, unfortunately it does not print well. The black ink prints unevenly and creates streaks even after aligning and cleaning the printhead. I used genuine HP cartridges. The other colors work well. I am chalking it up to risk. You take one when you order previously owned items.

printhead arrived on schedule. Ink still leaking from prior use. would not work. Used an entire bottle of cleaner on it and still could not get any to thru enough to clear the yellow and cannot printer to accept the new printhead. No choice now but to throw the 8625 away.

When installed the print head everything was fine but my wife still hasn't purchased ink yet as it costs about $117 at Walmart.
