2003 Dodge Ram 2500 Upgrade Steering Linkage Rview

Upgrade is totally worth it! I would recommend getting the Steering Damper from Mopor else if you decide to go after market shock you will need the metal Sleeve for the aftermarket shock as this does not com with the new part. A Sleeve is needed to keep the metal bolt tight within the shock. You could always take out the old sleeve from the old shock and use that one.

Waste of time and money for me!

Put this on my truck and within two months of driving my truck (2006 Dodge Ram 2500 4x4 Cummins) my steering completely loose again. I had it looked at by a shop and they showed me how sloppy this part is on my truck. I had it professionally installed. If you buy this keep in mind that when it needs to be replaced although it's under under warranty you must go to your local dodge dealer for them to confirm it's defective. After they confirm this part is defective you have to pay again for installation because you didn't get the part from them. You're better off just going to brakes plus and having moog parts put on your truck that have a lifetime warranty and they also will warranty their work. That way if the part goes bad you don't have to pay twice for installing the same part that was ...

  • Please read if you’re upgrading from the y to t style to fix death wobble.

Replaced ORIGINAL FACTORY drag link on my 2004 Ram 2500 with this supposed upgrade in April of 2018. The truck had 140,xxx miles, it now has 149,xxx, that’s right, under 10,000 miles and the drag link ball joints are worn out already, it’s now March 6 2020, so 2 years. I know that it only carries a 1 year warranty but dang.... only good for 10,000 miles? Just a side note: I replaced this steering drag link, shocks, sway bar end links and both front wheel bearings all in the same weekend and had it aligned before a cross country trip. I NEVER ONCE had the death wobble that seems so common for these trucks until I changed from the y style to the new t style, then I had it within 4,000 miles and have had it since.

  • modify to fit 97 trucks

THis aprears to be a good quality linkage , would be great if both tierods were replaceable without replace half the connecting link.... I modified mine to fit a 97 2500,, by taking the adjustment section completely apart then cutting one inch off the end with the roll pin then drilling and replacing the roll pin, also the connecting link had to be shortened by at lest one quarter inch to be able to line up steering wheel,,, also will be adding grease zerks

  • GREAT 3RD GEN RAM UPGRADE!

This setup is a great improvement over the "Y" type linkage that my 2005 Ram 2500 came with from the factory. Very robust and perfect fit. The only two downsides are that it did not come with fasteners and I had to buy a 2009+ steering damper/stabilizer.
