Very Good movie!
I was looking everywhere for this movie.I recently started to read about Billy The Kid,but didnt realize that the movies were innacurate,historically speaking.I watched other movies about the outlaw,some of them were good and others were very bad and an insult to the story.Then,I heard that this movie was the only one out of the many that is most closely accurate possible.And that is what I was looking for,since I dislike movies that are not really based on actual events.So it called on my attention to buy it and as soon as I received it,I was very impressed.I highly recommend it to people who like to read or study about Billy The Kid.It is also good for the family,even though parents need to avoid youngsters to watch it,due to some brief nudity scenes.The movie is a bit more drama rather ... Great movie- don't miss it!
Val Kilmer again performing as a very believable character. This is fascinating history, not a fairy tale. You will enjoy this quality firm about Billy, an often misunderstood wild west individual.

Not your usual Western
I like this movie because to me, it comes across as a classic tragedy, not just your usual Western. The characters move inexorably towards their fate, and the scene puts me in mind of a tragic opera. The two actors portraying the main characters of Billy and Pat Garrett give superb performances.
