We purchased this game about a month or so ago cause of it's graphics and different abilities and challenges it creates for you. I would rate this as a "good" compared to the other Need for Speed. Dislikes: You race at night, sometimes its hard to see on a big screen cause some of the graphics blend in to the screen. Not made for 54" big screen. Likes: Steering is more responsive to touch, but if your into total control and want cornering beware that this game is a whole new ball game for the novice player. I would not upgrade to this unless you have your controller memorized what buttons are what. Fast and quick thinking on demand is the name of this game. I would recommend to the experienced player.
Pros - Pretty good game. Outstanding graphics for its time. Countless ways to customize your car, especially when you start unlocking different upgrades. Really good racing action, with many different opponents and areas to work your way up to. The 'Boss' levels for each area are really challenging! Cons - Takes a while to load. (Longer than some, but not an interminable wait.) But once you 'hit the streets'; you face a decision right away - to auto-save or not. If you choose to auto-save, then you get to wait 5 - 7 seconds more while it does its thing. Again, not an eternity; but still... Also, a lot of the races you get into seem to cover the same ground over and over. (Wait, maybe that's not a con...) All in all, the eye candy is worth the wait. As you work your way through the game, you get access to some pretty sweet cars. Keep at it; don't mind the (sometimes) lengthy waits and I think you'll enjoy it. I'd give this 7 out of 10. I love this game in a lot of aspects. The graphics are great, the car selection is large, and it has an okay story, a continuation of most wanted. But the one thing that isn’t fun about it is the police. They’re so fast, and they catch up to you very easily. This might just be the fact that I’m newer to the game and don’t know how to effectively evade the police in this game, but the police are very fast. Overall, great game! I’d give it a solid 8/10.

This is another one of those Electronic Arts Need for Speed Releases. This game has nice story, the videos in there are excellent quality. The only thing is that the graphics are not as good as expected. It is actually less graphic then the previous release. The cars in there are nice and hooked up. Races and handling are great. Great Game, Recommended!
Ok, this game is not as good as the prequel Most Wanted. First, the cars you can use are divided into "tiers". There are 3 tiers. The first tier are that garbage cars, that can't have the performance maxed out. Then, tier two, the cars get slightly better. Then, tier three the cars can be as tuned to the max as possible, but the performance will still NEVER fill all three stat bars!!! It stinks. So, say your favorite car, is the Ford Mustang GT. It is a tier two car. So, it is no match in the later races where all your rivals use tier three cars. So, your forced I repeat, FORCED to move up to a tier three car. Now, moving on, the cars are divided into classes: Muscles, Tuners and Exotics. Muscles, are my favorites. they DOMINATE in Acceleration, then their speed is next best, but the downside on Muscles is their POOR handling. Next, Tuners dominate the turns. They have the best handling, but horrible speed and acceleration. And finally, Exotics are the SPEEDSTERS that are the fastest. Acceleration is usually the worst, and handling second best. Now, thats the cars. The racing is cool. Graphics are not as good as Most Wanted, but the fact that your racing at night is cool, because of your headlights. Now, the other REALLY dumb thing is that their are things called reward cards. They require you to complete a task to unlock some cool rewards. But the tasks are like immobilize this many police vehicles, Etc. But the cards have some tasks that can't be completed. Like, win 20 defensive races can't be done. You can only win like, 15 to 17 or 18. Well, thats my review. Hope it helps. Read my other reviews too. They all have helped MANY people. Have fun!!!Read full review
