    Very happy with this camera

    A light weight camera is a bad thing, a camera needs some weight to it so you hold it steady when using it. This camera is a good weight for its size.

    Best consumer camcorder available for the money.

    Before I purchased this camcorder I researched for about 4 months, comparing features and quality among all available consumer camcorders available. I've had this camcorder for over a year, in that time I've shot approximately 150 hours of video with it. The quality of video it produces is excellent. Low light quality is on par or higher then any camcorder you will find in the same price range. The 10x optical zoom is excellent, and the 40x digital is passable, the 200x zoom produces a grainy (as expected image but is a nice feature if you really need to reach out and see that far away.) The only downside imo is the battery life, the battery it comes with will get 1 to 1 1/2 hours with continual use. Thankfully you can get a spare battery that will have much longer use time.     Canon HG21 120GB AVCHD Camcorder

    An EXCELLENT digital camcorder - great optics, super quality, small and lightweight with image stabilization, really nothing to complain about. EXCEPT: - the ONLY drawback is (currently as of May 09) that the AVCHD format requires very specific software to deal with the files! On Mac, this currently means imovie '08 or newer, and Final Cut Express Pro (or at least FCE 4.0). Again - I am on a Mac - but you MUST have an intel mac as well. Consider this before you order! I have an intel mac, so I just have to upgrade to iMovie '08, and consider losing the FCE 3.5 HD that I love for the poorly rated FCE 4.0. It's a bit more complicated than I bargained for! Ladies and Gents - DO YOUR HOMEWORK BEFORE YOU ORDER! It is a complicated area, the digi cams. But have fun with the unbelievable ...

    Canon Vixia HG21 Great Cammera!

    Excelent video camera, the cinema filter its geat for cine look, the spotlight mode is so useful to shoot with less ilumination. The menus are very useful and comprensive, The lens optic its so good for a pocket cammera. And the cuality of the image its great, you can capture a lot of video with the hard disk drive, in 24, 30 progresive, real progresive. The only issue is that if u want to import 60i to a Mac, the Final Cut doesnt support this setting, but overwise this is an excellent equipment, you can enjoy a lot with it. On moving things become funniest!!!
