I received what was advertised and I’m happy. I took them right out of the extremely well packed box and sighted from 10 metres to about 375 metres the bluffs to the East. Fine and clear. I’m not using them for anything much more than wildlife observation both on land and sea and they are fine for that. The proof was in the clarity and a good cleaning of the lens will only improve that.

The str-de845 is a good receiver..
This receiver sounds pretty good & gets the job done.. if you buy one of these with out high expectations,you'll probably be happy with it.. I think that's about the best way to describe it..

i wish this lil wonder upon any1 who's lil $ n a willingness 2 learn setup

Legacy receiver
This receiver is part of a generation of equipment that is 'outdated'. I wanted something economical for an outdoor theater set up in my back yard. Since it is an older generation (5.1), it takes less speakers(5)not counting the sub-woofer. This made it easier to set up and break down. It has plenty of power(100 watts/channel) and the sound is excellent. From other reviews, I understand that they are fragile, but for the price (around $100) I took a chance on it.This receiver is part of a generation of equipment that is 'outdated'. Great sounding Stereo Control Center
This is a Digital, Audio, Video Control Center. Very complicated, but every part I have tested works just fine. It is a very good value for me as I would have had to replace my whole system without it. Sounds great.
