Zacurate: best of three brands of oximeter I tried
I ordered two other brands of oximeter at the same time. One brand, Philips Pulse Oximeters, has malfunctioned repeatedly, simply switching off before providing a readout. The other, by Techchip is reliable and I would recommend it for its quality. The Zacurate is the best of the three. It has a clean look and solid feel. It operates with perfect consistency and feels like a solid piece of equipment. It comes with a silicone sleeve that you can leave on. I ordered two other brands of oximeter at the same time. Very useful item in today's pandemic environment
I'm a retired Anesthesiologist and am familiar with pulse oximetry and pulse oximeters. This item is easy to use and appears to give accurate readings. The price was in line with other oximeters of similar quality. In monitoring patients with the Covid-19 virus, apparently many individuals have a pernicious decrease in blood oxygen level without feeling short of breath. This is a worrisome sign that a visit to the ER is in order. Due to the virus it is imperative that we be able to measure the oxygen saturation at home to determine if medical intervention is indicated. Looked at many oximeter and spent several months researching various brands from 35.00 to 200.00 and somehow settleted on this one. I have atrial-fib and this unit is able to give me fast and accurate readings...just what I was looking for. Not all units give good readings with this condition. Am satisfied.
