The back is black brushed aluminum (which ever so slightly concave, much like a hip flask), the front has a piano black finish ? giving it a contemporary look. The 8GB (7.5GB in reality) of flash is adequate, allowing you to store about 50hrs of Video. The Video replay is quite impressive and actually provides quite an pleasant experience. What really sets this player apart though is the sound quality. When used with a decent pair of in-ear headphones (like the Sennheiser CX300 ), you can hear that the amplification stage of this device is of the finest quality. It has the presence of a class ... More than what I thought it would be. Never opened. Came with earphones USB cable carring pouch wall charger warranty. Package a little dufficult to open but I expected that because it is a blister pack and they are always hard to open. Screen bigger than expected. Plenty of storage I have 1200 songs on it and still have room for more. Also the built in FM radio is a plus because when I need ideas for downloading more songs I can switch to it to give me those ideas. Plus you can use it a a digtal recorder and transfer the files to your computer. The video play back is good as well. The reason why I bought this MP3 player is because I had the step down from this one and I need an up grade and it doesnt hurt to have built in speakers so every one can hear what your listening to and let ... MUCH EASIER THAN IPOD
This Media player has a bright,clear,very sharp picture.It is thin,light and not very heavy. The best features is the ease of downloading music, movies, etc. I also own a 60gb IPOD (5th Generation)and of course,there is no control over what goes in the IPOD once you connect to ITUNES. With the Phillips,I can download the Songs, Movies and Pictures I select from my Hard Drive without paying anything to Itunes.It also has FM radio. The ease of programming is so simple. I AM SO LOVING THIS MACHINE. The ONLY improvement I would like is that there is more VOLUME available from the built-in speakers. has pretty big size display, I think it designed for view pictures & movies more than for listening, I using it for listening big audiobook files, it is easy to reset file to zero if accidently push central and arrow button. for my opinion it is better to separate this buttons.
