Best Mouse for your Health (and arm!)

This mouse is far more conventional than a normal mouse. Your wrist sits comfortable on it and your forearm remains straight. It is designed not only physically well, but also technologically. Several buttons are programmable, which allow you to them for common tasks, like opening new and closing browser tabs. Indeed, the technology also reduces how much you're required to move your wrist. If you use a computer 8 or more hours per day, I strongly recommend this mouse. I'm on my third (3+ years each), and though pricey for a mouse, worth every penny!

Good but it doesnt justify the price

This is one of the best vertical mouses and I have experience with vertical mouses for about 10 years. Product is very light. A bit more mass would be better. Its easy to flick it off the table by accident. Plastic is very flat leaving no groowes where palm heat could dissipate. My hand is warm because of that and this degrades the experience. Arm position is nice vertical. Buttons are well positioned but fifth finger tends to land on the table. Buttons are too soft and wheel doesnt feel much premium. More like it will fall apart any moment. There are similar and less pricey options offering good ergonomics and value for the money, such as older m618 models. Price is ok for someone from the US. The rest of us have to pay very expensive shipping and handling.

  • May be your only choice if you need 3 buttons, but some design flaws

If you need 3 mouse buttons, this seems to be the only vertical mouse. And I like the separation of the scroll-wheel from the middle button. The main design flaw is that there's no place for your pinkie finger. The bottom (right) mouse button extends all the way down. That forces you to hold the mouse with a "queen's little finger" extended outward, like you're holding a teacup. Also, the buttons are so easy to push that I'm continually clicking when I mean to be just moving the mouse. As a nice-to-have, I wish there were a loop over the thumb to permit lifting with the thumb rather than rocking (against my little finger) which often leads to an inadvertent click. Another nice-to-have: default one of the thumb buttons to allow me to move the mouse without moving the cursor ...

  • Exceptional product for CAD users.

This product is very comfortable for people with larger than normal hands. The software from the manufacturer works flawlessly. In the short time I have used this product I have noticed a 10% increase in productivity. The 6 buttons are placed intuitively and can be assigned in any way.

  • Cured my pain

I had a stripe of dull pain up and down the middle of my palm after years of conventional mouse use. A few months after switching to the evoluent mouse the pain was gone. I know because if I use a regular mouse for a day the pain begins to come back. My first and second Evoluent mice each lasted for many years of daily use.
