    Kettlebell workouts are no joke. Muscle versus weight. I am more than pleased with this book. I have lost weight, gained muscle mass, my core strength has increased and I have improved my lung capacity due to the kettlebell workouts in this book. Routines vary depending on the type of athlete you are and even has a routine for off season and during season. Keep your barbells. I have much more control over my muscles due to using kettlebells. The author gives anecdotes giving reason why each exercise routine works. Buy the book or not--the key is to exercise with what works for you.
