    Clutch Spring

    This spring definitely cured my high gear clutch slippage which is inherit on Kawaski Nomads with some miles. At first I thought I needed a clutch but after I visited a few forums to discuss my problem, they recommended just a heavier clutch spring. Barnett is the strongest of all replacement springs which means there's a lot more effort to pull your clutch lever in. For some people this may not be a problem but for others it may be particularly when sitting in traffic with the clutch lever in and out for any length of time. I took care of some of the problem with adjusting the position on the clutch lever. The end result is great with a more positive clutch engagement with no more slippage.

    Too strong tension

    The cluth handle pull is now so hard that I have to shift into neutral if stopped for more than a few seconds. Launch is very harsh, with a too small engagement range. I much prefered the OEM spring operation, but it was wearing out and allowing high gear slipping. I should have replaced it with an OEM spring, and maybe some judges washers.

    A little hard but better engage.

    I replaced clutch disk set, and install an original NEW Kawasaki diaphragm (spring), later I replaced this for the Barnett one because I prefer a fast engaging clutch, the clutch action is a little hard now, but it engages a lot better. I think that a middle between the Kawasaki and the Barnett will be perfect... this is why i put 4 stars.

    A little stiff for me

    Good quality part. Installed easily in place of the OEM part. A little too stiff for my liking. Ended up taking it out and replacing with an OEM replacement clutch spring.

    Installed on my 07 mean streak 1600. Clutch is a little heavy compared to stock, but I’m okay with it as it fixed my slipping clutch issue. Bike pulls great in every gear at any rpm.
