The greatest movie, "Who Framed Roger Rabbit?"

This is a classic movie, a landmark in which live action and animation are combined. It doesn't meet today's standards of seamless interaction, but it is a great first with a magnificent plot. The twists and subplots make the movie so rich and captivating. I have loved it for decades, and always will!

  • Roger Rabbit is not just for kids, ya know.

I remember when this movie came out and everyone was amazed at the combination of animation with live actors. Watching it back then, I was distracted by the hype. This time I could enjoy the movie without the sensationalism over-shadowing the film itself. Bob Hoskins plays a down-and-out private eye looking to scrape up some cash to pay off his bar debt, before the owner, his girlfriends boss comes back to find out she has been covering for him. Taking the job to protect a 'toon' is something he would rather not do - but you gotta make a living, ya know? Roger Rabbit is a bit whiny, and tries a little too hard on the old Bugs Bunny lines, but otherwise plays a love sick pampered star looking to hang onto the love of his life: Jessica Rabbit, who is a voluptuous bosomy ...

  • Good Movie

Great cutting edge animation for the time! The New rabbit on the block.I would love to see a Sequel!Bob Hoskins plays the human lead role.Christopher Lloyd(of the 70's TV series"Taxi" Fame) plays the Villan. The voice of Roger was done by Charles Fleischer. It tells the story of an attempt by an insane toon to take over Toon-Town and exterminate all the other toons.Puns galore! One laugh after another! You will see toons from the earliest days of animation-Disney,MGM,Max Fleischer,Harmon-Ising,Warner Brothers,etc...Definitely worth a few hours of your time!

  • Wildly fun and entertaining

This movie was ground-breaking when it came out. Live-action movies had had animated characters before, but not on this level. The cartoons actually interacted with the actors. These days that is common but this is the movie that laid the groundwork. The story is a comedic who done it. Set in Los Angeles in the forties. It's a world where cartoons are real, living in a place called Too Town. They work with humans in the film industry and are generally silly and gentle. But there is a killer among them. Roger Rabbit is accused and seeks the help of P.I. Eddie Valiant to prove his innocence. Eddie doesn't want to help him. He's grown to dislike toons since one killed his brother, years before. He winds up taking the case anyway against his will and the chase is on. While Eddie and Roger race ...

  • Amazing DVD of an amazing movie!

I wanted to get a copy of this great movie again after having not had it for a good fifteen years, and it took a while for me to find a really affordable DVD. But this last time I looked there were LOTS of choices and this DVD was the one I liked the most. It was the lowest price and it came in the mail REALLY fast, it plays perfectly in all of the players in my house and the movie is a favorite for my family, it has been for a few decades. It's exactly how I want a crime noir movie to be, and I credit my favorite director of all time Robert Zemeckis the MOST for its greatness and how much I love it even though everything about it makes it awesome and everyone involved:)
