For wired and wireless connectivity, combine the power and functionality of a router and modem with the Linksys X2000 Wireless-N Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line (ADSL) 2+ Modem Router. This product provides support for either DSL or cable broadband connections. If you want to go wireless using your fixed broadband connection or upgrade to wireless-N connectivity, this unit offers a hybrid solution for all your home Wi-Fi needs. Compatible with Windows and Mac-based systems, it can quickly be installed using the special software that comes with the product. Plus, maintenance is straightforward with the unit’s ease-of-management features. For wired connectivity, the Linksys X2000 features three 10/100 LAN ports. This enables you to link up to three devices, including computers, laptops and printers, to your system via an Ethernet cable. This unit also includes two Internet ports: a DSL jack for the phone line that will feed the integrated ADSL2+ modem and an Ethernet wide area network (WAN) port to hook up a cable modem. Great moden/router if you know how to program it.
A lot of people give this unit a bad review, but that's probably because most reviews are given only when something goes wrong. So I guess it's a problem for some with the over heating but has not happened to me. As far as having to reset the modem all the time, your problem is the keep-alive feature. In PPPoE mode set it to dial every 30 sec. I have Qwest / Centurylink in Boulder Colorado at 7Mbps using ADSL2+ Has same speed test rating with WPA2 on or off and the only draw back is the the Wi-Fi signal could be a little stronger but it's strong enough to cover all of my little split level house. Now I get 7.5Mbps on ethernet and 7.3Mbps on Wi-Fi but I only ever got 7.1Mbps Ethernet & 6.1Mbps with the actiontec dsl modem with b/g Wi-Fi I had from the telephone company 7 years ago.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Not good for Venezuela
This product can not be used as Modem in Venezuela. You can use it only as Router. The main internet provider (CANTV) in Venezuela do not accept this device because they don't distribute this product.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned
