    Great drive ,but read this first if using on an older computer.

    Overall the drive performs flawlessly. As with all SCSI drives at this platter RPM(15k) it does get a tad hot but is very quiet. Unfortunately, the SAS interface makes this drive a pain to install on an older PC if you want to do a clean install of a newer OS.(in my case Win7 Pro 64) During install there were no installation SCSI drivers available so Windows did not recognize the drive. Called HP and they confirmed my suspicion. Their solution--resort to a slower SATA HD -- which defeated the reason why I paid extra for less storage. Other than that no complaints.
