    Classic design, striking and endearing.

    This is a classic design by Lego. The colors, shapes, and mechanics all come together in a striking but endearing look. I've watched some tips and tricks on Youtube by people who have slightly modified the original mechanics to make this train run more smoothly with Lego Power Functions; so I would recommend you do a little research after you build it, but before you purchase and install any Power Functions. My only concern about the product is that a very few small brown pieces cracked a bit while I was building the passenger car, but that was the only incident of this in all the Lego sets I've built, so perhaps it was an anomaly? All in all, a great product, and one that will add much to my family's Lego village.

    A beautiful Lego build steam engine

    This is a beautiful train set. No complicated built technics and yet the locomotive and cars look great. The Gold trimmed dark green body pieces makes this set look elegant. Shame its long retired and available sets are not cheap but if you can swing it I highly recommend a sealed new set. I added the Lego power functions motor and lights (not included in the set) The train was meant to run!!!

    The amazing lego train.

    Hello, I've been looking for the correct lego train for a while now and I decided that this train was the one! It is the best old fashioned train that was produced by lego. It is very detailed and I bought it very expensive, but it was worth it. This model is just what I've been looking to put under the Christmas tree. I'm very happy!
