This is a comics buff must have!
When I was in high school (Sophomore 1983), a girl brought her brother's DC Comics Encyclopedia to class one day and I wanted a copy then. Time went on I forgot all about it. Then a few days ago I happened by a flee market and seen one under a guys arm who was about to purchase it, thought to myself shoot missed my chance again. So thinking of the only way to find my very own would be eBay. I Bid, I won, and it was like-new and pages crisp and clean. I love the detail on most characters, height, weight, origin, etc... If you are a comics buff, this is a must have in your collection. Not lonely for self knowledge but too share with the younger generation coming along. The DC Comics Encyclopedia
I bought this book for my 10 year old son for his birthday. He had seen the Marvel Encyclopedia at a friends and loved it. I was a little nervous not knowing if he would be as happy with this one since it wasn't Marvel. He could not put the book down for days. Even his little sister (4) liked it. My husband got in on the action by looking up some of his old super hero memories. We all loved the book and look forward to more reading. It tells the super hero name, origin, if they are good or bad (or both), their powers and more. Great book for any super hero fan!I bought this book for my 10 year old son for his birthday. I bought this book for my 8 yr old son who loves DC Comics. He needs help in reading and teachers suggested that I buy books that interst him. Of all the gifts for Christmas, he read this book for an hour after opening up all his gifts and before picking up his new DSi. It has increased my son's interest in the characters and their stories, and prompted him to read on his own without my wife and I fussing.
