Okay, but hey, it's cheap
It's cheap. And that's a good thing. The downside? It's cheap. The joysticks didn't work in Rainbow Six: Vegas (had to use D-Pad to move), and it took a lot of hassle (turning controllers on and off, re-assigning controller, etc.) to get it to recognize it as a second controller during co-op too. The directional keys feel so flimsy, that I thought I had recieved it broken. My friend has one of these and it is the same way. You also have to apply too much pressure to the D-Pad keys and all of the keys are all on one wheel/piece of plastic. That means they all move together more or less. I can twist the whole mechanism around about 1 cm in both directions. Not cool. All in all, I would almost rather spend the extra to get an OEM controller, almost. I'm cheap that way.It's cheap. Perfect Replacement
This gamepad I can say is just as good as the original Sony game controllers. The only gripe i have with these is two, and therefore I gave is a good rating instead of excellent: a) You must use alkaline AA batteries(2), so its not rechargeable, but if you use duracell, they definitely outlast the stock sony battery after a full charge b) You cannot turn on the PS3 with the "ps" button on this control as you can with the stock sony control. Other than these 2 things, the control is great. the PS3 recognized right away and took like 10 sec to install it and it was ready for use. I personally think it has a better feedback for the buttons than the stock sony. I actually like this controller, it worked flawlessly on Motorstorm and a couple of the arcade games. However, the main reason I purchased it was so my kids could play LittleBIGplanet at the same time. I couldn't find any fixes for the problem online or from Logitechs customer service. I've noticed other reviewers on other websites are also saying the same thing and having the same problem on LittleBIGplanet. So that confirms it, it defective. It feels great in my hands and the size is close to perfect. Too bad it's flawed. PS. I like this controller overall, but the main things I like about it over the Sony controller is that the L2 and R2 trigger buttons don't allow my fingers to slip off them easily and it fits my hands better. What I disliked about the controller is that it is USB operated instead of Blueray and that the PS button won't turn my PS3 on. I choose to buy this controller because of the Logitech name, I needed another controller, it was going to cost me half as much as a new Sony brand controller, and that it looked slightly differently shaped which proved (for me) to be more comfortable during extended playing.I like this controller overall, but the main things I like about it over the Sony controller is that the L2 and R2 trigger buttons don't allow my fingers to slip off them easily and it fits my hands better.
