Every night is a party at Camden, where students celebrate with a "Dress to Get Screwed" theme and teachers appear more often on the dance floor than in the classroom. Director Roger Avary conveys the individual angst of the three lovelorn main characters in a series of vignettes, using their different perspectives to weave together a complex tale of misunderstanding, drug binges, alienated sex and violence, and above all, extreme loneliness. KIDS is amazing. Go watch it.
Larry Clark has broken the boundaries with this film. Not only is it one of the realist depictions of our nation's youth, but it also brings the fear of the AIDS virus closer to home. This is not a piece of fictitious work, this is brutal honesty in its rawest form. While many will knock this film because of the pornographic nature, I saw past that and witnessed the birth of the next plague. Writer Harmony Korine has taken the world of our children and transferred it to the big screen. I never once saw this as a shock film or disgusting, I saw honesty and truth behind every scene. This is really what is happening in our backyards. Kids are not as young as they used to be, and are growing up in a world with more possibilities and distractions than ever before. All I can say about KIDS is God[or You Preference]Help Us if this is a remotely accurate portrayal of today's youth! And Im very Liberal!!!!!!! Rules:As always Clifton Collins Jr. steals the show,as he does in all his films,the rest of the actors do a great job as well.For more info see other reviews,I just had to mention Clifton!!!

Good messed up young people DRAMA!!!!
I bought this mainly for the "Rules of Attraction" movie as I love the way the movie is put together and all of the "Fantasy College" life. Alot of really plausible situations occur, a glimpse into how messed things can get when we are young.
