Mannix Season 5 is great--like all the Mannix seasons
I love the Mannix series seasons 2 through 8 because they were clever scenarios and well written with the solutions usually a surprise! Season one was good, but 2-8 much better without Intertect Agency as his employer. Mike Connors' Joe Mannix was very handsome and charming and had a great platonic friendship with his secretary. Also, the police generally respected Mannix even when sparing over details he could not reveal without violating client confidentiality, and sometimes rescued him too. One of the best crime dramas, not just of the 1970s, but one of the best period! Much better than 21st century current run crime dramas. (Did you know Lucille Ball liked Mannix and fought the networks to put it on the air and keep it there--just like she supported the original Star Trek!) Technically I like that these DVDs have a "play al" feature--put in the disk and watch all on that disk without stopping if you want to!Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Mike Connors is mannix. From kidnappings to extortion to murder. Mannix is on top of the game. It's not an easy life. From being beaten up, to landing in jail. Mannix works hard to get to the bottom of his case. Sometimes it's easy sometimes but.
