The D-Link DSR-500N is a wireless router designed and developed by D-link. It has been built to offer secure, high performance networking convenience to address the growing needs of small and medium businesses. This D-Link router has three antennas each with a twodBi gain and operating at 2.4 GHz. This gigabit wireless router has been designed to comply with IEEE 802.11n and 3G1 standards, which offer comparable performance to traditional wired networks with fewer limitations. The D-Link router has been designed with a range of ports for better connectivity. They include one Ethernet port, one Fast Ethernet port, one Gigabit Ethernet port, four network (RJ-45) ports, four network (RJ-11) ports, one USB interface, a management port, and two Broadband (RJ-45) ports. Optimal network security on this D-Link DSR-500N is provided via features such as virtual private network (VPN) tunnels, IP Security (IPSec), Point-to-Point Tunneling Protocol (PPTP), Layer two Tunneling Protocol (L2TP), and Secure Sockets Layer (SSL). This gigabit wireless router is rack mountable and requires 12V DC to operate. Certified by WEEE, the D-Link DSR-500N is also environment friendly.
