About this product

Product Information

"Quirky, endearing characters make Savannah Blues one heck of a good time." --Jennifer Crusie "Mary Kay Andrews has perfect pitch when it comes to endearing, smart-mouth heroines, and she has caught the languid looniness of the Low Country perfectly." --Anne Rivers Siddons Meet Weezie (aka Eloise) Foley, a feisty antiques "picker," banished by her spiteful ex-husband from the house she herself restored in Savannah's historic district, who must come to terms with a life that has suddenly changed...and not, it, seems for the better. In Mary Kay Andrews's delectable New York Times bestseller, Savannah Blues, readers will feel the sultry Georgia breezes and taste sea salt in the air, as they lose themselves in a wonderful, witty tale brimming with sass and peopled by a richly endearing cast of delightfully eccentric characters. Revenge is sweeter than sweet in Mary Kay's capable hands, and readers of Fannie Flagg, Adriana Trigiani, Emily Giffin, Rebecca Wells, and Jill Conner Browne will definitely want to spend some quality time in Savannah.

A great heroine, steamy Savannah setting, a hunky chef, antiques galore. Mary Kay Andrews(Trocheck) tells a southern tale of murder, southern cooking, and the antique business gone crazy! Talking trash is not something bad to Weezie's, who's occupation is to find items from flea markets to garage sales and sell them to antique dealers. After her divorce, she got the carriage house in the back yard, plus half the garden, but her husband and his mistress got the beautifully restored historical townhouse and the garage. Weezie's job makes her do some crazy things for money, like one upping her competition by sneaking in at night and viewing a run down plantations goodies going up for sale the next day. Wandering inside the mansion, she opens a closet door and out falls Susan...her ex-husband's mistress....except she's been murdered! The police have Weezie as the ...

  • Antique Picking Fun, Lightweight plot

Bought this book for a book club. It is not my usual genre. The plot felt formulaic at times, but I did enjoy reading about the main character's job as a "picker". Would recommend for an easy beach read (although it is pretty long), but not really a substantial piece of fiction.

  • Cute Cover!

This was a great book love the cover it was very shiny. I disliked that on the bottom there was a dark sharpie line, also the cover was bent!

  • Savannah Blues

My new favorite writer- I've almost read all her books- a southern woman's must! She knows how to write romance, mystery and comedy all in one everytime!
