Some state-of-the-art special effects work brings a disturbing vision of the future to life in this History Channel presentation. LIFE AFTER PEOPLE takes a look at what would happen to everything left behind on Earth if the human race was annihilated. The program makers consulted structural engineers, who demonstrate how landmarks such as the Sears Tower and the Golden Gate Bridge would simply wither and ultimately collapse in a future world without humans. The show also examines how the animal kingdom and the natural world would adapt to this human-less future, and ponders how quickly the various records of our existence on Earth would decay. A real-life example of this possible future is accounted for by a close analysis of the area around Chernobyl, which remains uninhabitable 22 years after the explosion at a nuclear power plant. But the most impressive feature of LIFE AFTER PEOPLE is the incredible effects work, which provide an all-too-real depiction of what the planet may look like in the future.

    Earth Will Do Well Without Humans

    Human Beings forgot the second part of the first important Command by their Creator, "Be fruitful, multiply, & replenish the Earth." What we have done since being expelled from the Garden of Eden is to all but destroy this Splendid Planet Earth. As I watched #LifeAfterPeople, I felt like cheering the non-human animals...but as they get the last laugh, or get to continue without being impinged upon by rotten humans, perhaps my encouragement would be redundant. This would be good to have as required viewing by anyone who supported Donald Trump--as he exponentially illustrates the irresponsible nature of the human species more than anyone else who occupies a position of fame & leadership. If people want to postpone this, then stop littering, stop rampant buying of unneeded things & take ...

    The best view of the future without us

    I had always enjoyed the series Life After People but I wanted to see the original since I had heard it was the best of the entire lot I most enjoyed the fact it was all backed up with scientific research and engineering facts and figures
