Fan Receiver Fixed My Broken Casablanca Marrakesh Fan; Online Instructions Were Helpful
My Casablanca Marrakesh fan recently just stopped responding to the remote control in January 2020. I changed the remote's battery but the fan was just "dead" and would not turn on. After doing some research, I found that this receiver inside the body of the fan was the likely problem, so first I took the fan down from the ceiling and disassembled my fan to make sure I could get to the receiver to replace it. Once I had the fan taken apart and verified what the receiver looked like, I ordered this receiver and then installed it once it arrived. There are no instructions provided with the receiver, but I found a website with all the info for replacing the receiver and the site was very helpful to help me get the wiring correct since the wire colors on this new receiver were not exactly ... FOR THE SELLER, I RECOMMEND YOU START PROVIDING THE CASABLANCA REPAIR WEBSITE LINK TO FUTURE BUYERS Other than the main plug connector and the antenna (the antenna looks like a wire but the antenna has no connector or bare wire on the end), there are only three other wires to connect to operate the fan and the light. Initially, I had two of the three wires connected wrong, but I was able to disassemble the fan again and troubleshoot the problem using the instructions at the website above. Once the wires were connected properly, this new receiver worked perfectly.
