This converter functions correctly if installed properly. The included SATA cable is one foot long, too short and no clips to hold it securely. I had to swap the cable with one from the hard disk. There are two SATA ports with no instructions on which one to use. One of them should work. There is nothing to stop the card from being installed upside down.

The seller was good but the product is lacking instructions. If you are going from sata controller to ide you need to install a jumper so soldering is required. No place does it state you must install a jumper. This is the second that I have bought from another seller and both are the same. The item does work. Thanks for the service provided.
