Carrie White (Angela Bettis) is going through an extremely difficult time. As she struggles to come to terms with the feminine changes that adolescence brings, she has also developed a sort of telekinetic power that she is unable to fully control. Carrie attempts to shut herself off from the rest of the school, but teasing pranksters have targeted her for their next practical joke. This 2002 TV-Movie follows Stephen King's source novel faithfully, offering a variety of scares, twists, and special effects that were absent from Brian DePalma's 1976 theatrical release. Patricia Clarkson stands out as Carrie's bizarre mother.

    A good remake.

    This remake was not so good as the original Version and not so good as the remake from 2013 with C. Moretz, but it was not bad. It was an over two hours long movie with good screenplay, well casted actors, the story was in the first two hours based on the book plot, only the ending (the last ten minutes) was totally changed. Was it good? Maybe yes, I was suprised and Iliked this new plot twist. So I rate this movie with note B and it means good. Not very good as the both other movies but still good and worth to invest money and time to make an movie evening with watching this DVD and some snacks and beer.

    The poor girl

    The one and only stephen king. It's one of my favorite books of all time. I'll never understand why they did not listen to her. If they felt her alone they may still be alive. Then again he would not be the great writer that he is with all happy endings.

    If scary is your thing, this is your movie!

    This is a nerve wracking movie that leaves goose bumps for an entire day! I wanted the original movie with Sissy Spacek. It took a lot of hunting but I found it and I am delighted.
