Excellent drive, Unbeatable price
I was particularly worried about this drive perhaps being some sort of knockoff or cheaply made, given the pricetag compared to other drives of its size, but I can't find a problem. Zero issues, fast transfer speed, and massive amounts of storage space, this is one of the best deals I've seen in hard drives ever. It is not a new disk!
The item was positioned as New: A brand-new, unused, unopened, undamaged item in its original packaging. It was soldered in the antistatic packet as though new, but after unpacking I saw scratches on the case and strong attritions on contacts. On conductive tracks of a board here and there corrosion traces! In the foam seals - dust! Drive is in working order, and SMART info: Power on count = 0; Power on hours = 0. Everything together it is very much strange, but the fact that it not new - 100%. Draw your own conclusions. I in confusion also don't know how adequately to estimate this lot, but for deception about a condition of goods I reduce assessment at once.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Excellent protection for shipping and as advertised
Drives were packaged very well in individual anti-static bags, individual HD bubble cases and snug in the box. Current only have one of the two I purchased installed while waiting to get my other box together. SMART values were all below warning levels as listed in ad. These are being used as basic/manual backup drives in case main computer HD dies. I don't need brand new and glad to keep these from the waste pile. Dell HDD is OK --- but with HOT-SWAP Quirks
I got this drive at a great sale price a few months ago --- and am happy with it. It works very well when used as an internal drive or within a USB-connected docking-stations. Initially though, this drive could not be mounted in an internal HOT-SWAP cage... it would not be "appear" with or be accessible by Windows.. After a lot if investigation, the problem was resolved by installing an older IDE ATA driver within my Windows 7 system. I have seem a similar problem with a different Dell/Seagate drive (although not an Enterprise model). I have suspicions that Dell uses unique HDD firmware that causes these HOT-SWAP complications. Excellent drive for the price
I bought three for use in a FreeNAS server. Ran them all through a SMART short, conveyance, and long test, and then a round of badblocks. All together 68 hours of testing for each drive and not one error throughout the process. All arrived with 0 hours and 0 startstop count. Very Loud. Not pleased with this purchase.
