It was in its original packaging, zip tied and wasn't bounced around. There's no play or slack in the lever, it's solid and I have confidence when applying both pairs of brakes. I'm using it on a motorized bike, more weight means more force. This lever handles it just fine, I would buy another one. I like how it can be installed/removed without taking off your grip. Seller's communication was great.
